Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Product Development Manager the main focus will be to source and develop new product ranges to meet the business objective and to grow sustainable, profitable categories and gain market share within the FMCG industry.

Minimum requirements:

Relevant degree in Marketing/Food Science/Consumer Science
Minimum 3 years experience as a Food Product Developer (Preferably in a FMCG environment)
Proven management experience

Key Performance Area:

Development of new successful product ranges
Identification of new sustainable product opportunities
Input and implementation of category strategies
Owning and driving projects from concept to launch, working closely with internal departments, team members and suppliers in meeting all goals and mile-stones in the critical time path
Ensuring that all product specification and quality standards are adhered to
Responsible for all product reviews and customer product presentations
Effective bench marking and competitor analysis
Market and customer trend analysis
Development of good relationships with suppliers and clients
Monitoring product quality and standards
Providing input into post implementation reviews
