Strategic Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and leading the Junior Product & Digital Manager; you will develop plans and execute projects to support the short and long-term Marketing Strategy of a key Franchise.

Role Objectives:

*Take full ownership of the development and performance of sub-brand/s, (driving the brand internally and externally) to ensure continuous and significant growth.
*Manage all projects related to the sub-brand/s (including both International and Local National initiatives) and translate International guidelines into a Local National Strategy.
*Develop new aspects to the Product-line (including Packaging, Price-point etc.) and investigate and launch new Product-lines.
*Develop, implement and monitor robust and smart A&P plans and create excitement around the brand.
*Work in conjunction with the Trade Marketing and Key Accounts teams to translate the Brand Strategy into Customer Marketing Objectives and Commercial Strategies.
*Coordinate, develop and take ownership of sound Brand Equity and create / build Online Campaigns to support the overall Digital Strategy for the South African business.
*Effectively present to key Stakeholders (both Local and International Management & Directorate) on new Projects, Product Lines and Marketing Initiatives; in order to gain buy-in and commitment.
*Manage and mentor the Junior Product & Digital Manager.

Requisite Skills and Competencies:

*Proven track-record in the FMCG sector with a good understanding of the Digital landscape and its significance in brand support and development.
*Great Project-Manager with structured organisational skills and ideas / solutions / results-driven.
*Confident, assertive and highly-motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and convincing presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
*Able to work collaboratively with Agencies and Customers with a strong grasp of Consumers, Competitors and Market-dynamics. Also highly-competent at interpreting and reporting on information from Nielsen / Aztec.
*Thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

*Relevant Tertiary qualification.
*5 – 10 years’ experience in the FMCG sector including Product Management & Product Development (Premium-brand and Global exposure a distinct advantage).
*Highly proficient in MS Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel.
