Purpose of Position

Lead and manage a team of Project Managers, and the successful planning, execution and closing of Innovation projects, by applying the appropriate knowledge, skills, tools and techniques

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

Strategic & Financial Results:
Innovation Projects are resourced to deliver OTIF
• Understand Innovation Framework Governance, Project Management methodology and tools to ensure compliance
• Define the scope of allocated projects and agree outcomes with relevant stakeholders
• Allocated Projects reflects relevant stakeholder requirements, potential for conflicts and baselines (resources, budget, timing)
• Approve the plans for the project with the project owner and communicate to relevant stakeholders
• Monitor project processes and variances addressed (includes project plans, work packages, project governance and product acceptance)

Operational Results:
Manage innovation projects execution to achieve objectives and quality standards
• Project performance is measured, recorded, evaluated, and reported against the project baselines and outcomes, and corrective action taken
• Project data base maintained
• Project status meeting actions and decisions recorded and implemented
• Risks, issues and learnings documented and mitigating actions defined and implemented
• PIPO managed and implemented as per approved plan and KES
• Formal project reviews conducted for select projects and agree actions

Customer & Relationship Results:
Develop internal and external relationships and networks
• Develops the project plans with inputs from key stakeholders, and drives execution

Leadership Results
Lead project teams to deliver projects successfully

• Clear pattern of self-and team development and learning for increased expertise and performance
• Providing clear direction and focus to project team to ensure project success

Innovation & Improvement Results
Drive continuous improvement in innovation project management
• Identify, document and implement lessons learned and share with relevant stakeholders.
• Suggest improvements to processes, work methods and systems

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
• Relevant B degree and project management certification
• + 7 years’ experience
