Key Accountabilities

Applies a substantial body of professional knowledge in project management coupled with in depth experience to develop and implement a wide range of IT projects, programs, systems, policies and practices in relation to the IT project management discipline which could impact across several Departments in the Organization to effect service delivery to clients, by
•Leading or participating in the planning of IT projects and obtain business requirements for the design of IT solutions, or other specialist IT initiatives.
•Analysing and evaluating business requirements collected from the customers, and applying professional skills to implement as IT projects.
•Monitoring each Project’s Scope Management process. Ensuring that an impact analysis of any change requests is completed. Ensuring that change requests with a significant impact on the Projects are brought forward to the Steering Committees for resolution
•Managing each project’s budget, tracking budget status and payments to contractors through planning, development and implementation phases.
•Providing a high level consulting and advisory service across the Organization, on issues pertaining to IT policy and strategy.
•Organizing project teams into appropriate work groups and work closely with the Team Leaders to support and guide the Project teams in their effort to achieve its business goals and produce deliverables within the specified timeframes.
•Setting up and coordinating regular (monthly) Steering Committee meetings for each project.
•Leading interdisciplinary teams in preparing and developing project related documents (risk logs, issue logs, change requests, etc.)
•In order to provide a comprehensive professional service, and leadership in the development of IT solutions and processes and policies within the Organisation.

COMMUNICATION

Communicating with fellow ICT professionals as well as internal and external clients to work on issues of common interest and/or to share information, by
•Leading, coordinating and facilitating meetings with management, internal and external clients and fellow professionals to give or receive information on projects, programs, processes policies and systems.
•Leading, coordinating and facilitating working groups to share knowledge and develop plans and strategies on issues of common concern.
•Writing project management reports and communicating progress on on-going projects.
•Making presentations to project Steering Committee members for on-going projects.

In order to keep all affected parties fully informed and aware of issues of common concern, and facilitate the proper implementation of projects, processes and systems to meet customer requirements.

ADMINISTRATION

Drawing up of reports and correspondence to facilitate the functioning of the Branch, by
•Writing of reports of varying length and complexity to record research and information collection, share information, formulate conclusions and strategies and make reasoned recommendations.
•Drafting letters and reports to give information and resolve queries or problems.
•Responding to enquiries and requests for services from clients.
•Safe keeping of documentation, results of research and investigations, and correspondence.

In order to effect accurate recording of professional work done in the Branch and ensure effective use of the Branch’s services and resources.

Knowledge and Skills
•Able to manage projects and resources in an environment using technologies such as SharePoint, C#.Net,
•Knowledge of Project management methodologies and tools such as MS Team systems, MS Project, MS Visio.
•Conducting project workshops and preparing and developing project related documents (project charters, risk logs, issue logs, change requests, etc.)
•Organizing project teams into appropriate work groups, working closely with Team Leaders to support and guide the project teams in their effort to produce deliverables that are in scope within the specified timeframes.
•Managing each project’s budget, tracking budget status and payments to contractors through planning, development and implementation phases.
•Managing Application development projects through the Systems Development Lifecycle.
•Setting up and coordinating regular (monthly) Steering Committee meetings for each project.
•Must be able to implement Projects that have a technical component or technical in nature e.g. project manage the implementation of Hardware (servers), Network Infrastructures, Communications infrastructure etc.

Qualifications or Experience
•5 years IT project management experience in application development.
