DOTNXT is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager who can support the team in Johannesburg and in Cape Town. DOTNXT requires someone who can think and act quickly and who can provide guidance to other project managers from different departments to deliver outstanding projects together. A technology background and understanding of IT infrastructure is essential.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Reporting to client teams in Johannesburg and Cape Town, the candidate will work closely with a team of project managers in Johannesburg and Cape Town to help them achieve their goals on time and within budget. The candidate will apply his/her experience as a PMO team lead and introduce appropriate methodologies and processes where necessary. The candidate will interact with various departments and a multitude of external suppliers, gathering requirements and truly understanding what stakeholders need to move joint projects forward. Risk management and mitigation as well as facilitating communication between stakeholders will be core tasks. The candidate will also be required to familiarize themselves with business analysis and technical documentation. While business travel between Cape Town and Johannesburg will be part of the job, the candidate must be based in Cape Town where he/she will split his/her time between different offices.

DOTNXT is dedicated to creating an adaptable work environment for consultants who like to operate outside of a corporate culture and who enjoy being involved in innovating processes and ways of thinking. Typically, their consultants work on a freelance basis to allow the flexibility they need to be involved in their own projects or startups.

The position is available from 1 October and work style can be discussed. DOTNXT is either looking for full time candidates, but is also open to candidates wishing to operate in a more flexible work environment.
