Professors Lynn Morris and Penny Moore are looking to recruit talented scientists and students to join their team at the NICD in Johannesburg. This is a well-funded group with strong international collaborations, doing cutting-edge HIV/AIDS research. Their recent papers have appeared in top scientific journals such as Nature, Nature Medicine and PLoS Pathogens. Successful applicants will be part of an innovative research program aimed at understanding antibody evolution in HIV infected people and vaccinated volunteers.

A dynamic and self-driven scientist, ideally with 3 years post-PhD experience is needed to oversee the design and production of
complex proteins that will be used to isolate rare B cells by flow cytometry for HIV vaccine discovery.

Applicants should have the required qualifications as well as excellent communication and problem solving skills, and be able to work flexible hours. Competitive salaries will be based on qualifications and experience as per the NICD/NHLS scales.
