Our client in the Banking Sector based in Johannesburg CBD is looking for a qualified Senior Quantitative Analyst, if you are a self-starter, professional, business savvy and able to communicate findings to business clearly then this job is for you.

Job Description:
• Building models required for the business to guide business, including financial, decisions.
• Perform analysis for business to give them a better understanding of relevant data/trends/behaviour.
• Understand general commercial principles so that sound and well-designed models can be built.
• Pro-active in suggesting for opportunities as well as making analytical observations on any aspect that would be beneficial to business.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
• Mathematical/Analytical B.Sc degree.
• 5 years’ experience in an analytical and modelling position (preferably in the banking sector).

Skills:
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Financial modelling skills.
• SAS programming preferable but background in another programming language would be considered.
• Ability to understand requirements from business and have a good understanding of business in general.
• Ability to do trend analyses, sensitivity analyses and build scenarios.
• Able to understand interrelatedness of numbers within a model.
• Good interpretation skills.
• Advanced Excel knowledge.
