Bsc in Quantity Surveying
•Must be a Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor
•Computer literacy in MS Office suite is essential
•Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks
•Must have managerial skills
•Be able to handle pressure to meet laid down deadlines
•The successful candidate will be required to have:
•Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar position is essential
•Engineering environment background would be an added advantage
•Previous experience in the Structural steel industry is essential
•Organise, coordinate people and resources to achieve the desired work output/targets and outcomes
•Manage performance of subordinates through target setting, cancelling, training and corrective action
•Develop and maintain communication structures and communicate work requirements and relevant information to subordinates
•Ensure subordinates have access to required tools. equipment, material etc to perform their tasks to the required standard
•Direct and oversee a team of Junior Quantity Surveyors in compiling the project final account
•Communicate project measures with the team and ensure measures reconcile to all systems
•Participate in the monthly work in progress meetings, reports on project quantities and progress
•Ensure the correct quantification of all project claims and variations
•Liaise with the Client in adjusting and finalising the project measures
