We are looking for a Senior regulatory compliance manager who will be able to ensure that the various business units or legal entities within the ISCoE Regulatory Compliance ambit comply with a broad spectrum of regulatory compliance requirements. The role may provide consultation to management and could consult to external clients.
It is expected from this role to not only provide functional leadership to its direct reports, but must, very importantly, also take on responsibility and accountability of tasks as required to ensure the workload for the Regulatory Compliance Team is appropriately managed to achieve the overall goals and deliverables for Compliance.

Required Experience:
• At least 8 – 15 years relevant compliance/risk management experience (working knowledge), amongst others, in terms of the:
• Long-Term Insurance Act (including SAM requirements), Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, Financial Intelligence Centre Act, Pension Funds Act and Collective Investment Schemes Act.
• Experience in the efficient management of a team of 4 or more members.
• Not be an un-rehabilitated insolvent, have entered into a compromise with a creditor, or have been provisionally sequestrated or liquidated.
• Be a registered, or qualify to be registered as a FAIS Compliance Officer in respect of the different product categories in the insurance sector

Qualifications:
• A relevant degree (BCom with specialisation in finance or investments, or BCom Law, or LLB with relevant compliance experience) and/or compliance qualification(s) is a must.
• A BCom Honours, MBA, CFA, and Post Graduate Diploma in Compliance will be an added advantage.
