Reporting to the CEO, the successful appointee will be responsible for the Head of Compliance; Credit and Regulatory Risk Manager and Operational Risk Manager. Must possess intimate knowledge of internal business processes in risk management and have extensive experience in portfolio management, credit underwriting and credit operations. Qualification:

Relevant professional qualification / University Degree

Basel 3 regulation experience essential



Skills & Experience:

More than 15 years’ relevant experience working in a highly respected financial services or top tier international bank or ideally followed by a senior risk position in a smaller, independent regulated bank

High credibility and strong reputation with regulators in the markets they have operated in

Ability to critically analyze and review substantial amounts of information and bring to bear exceptional decision-making skills

Superb communication skills, both verbal and written



Job Description:

Providing effective leadership of the Risk function.

Managing, motivating and developing the team and ensuring it contributes positively and at the required standards to the running and development of this business.

Enhancing, developing and embedding the Enterprise Risk Management Framework for managing risks.

Operating an effective internal control system.

Identifying emergency threats and significant trends.

Developing, refining and managing qualitative and quantitative risk reporting, which is accurate, meaningful and timely.

Ensuring that the Governance, Enterprise Risk, Credit (Compliance) and Control frameworks of the business are operating effectively as a second line of defense.
