Our client is the market leader in slurry handling equipment. They currently have a vacancy for a Senior Sales Engineer. The successful incumbent will hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Mechanical / Chemical / Process / Metallurgical Engineering) and have 2 to 3 years’ experience in Technical Sales.

Position details:

Meet the budget set for the territory serviced. Increase sales of full range of full product portfolio. Increase process engineering services offered to customers making the branch a solutions provider rather than a seller of products. Service existing clients and develop new business. Provide technical assistance and after sales service to clients. Propose the various company products on various applications. Proactive in seeking growth in all products. Submit quotes and tenders as per the customer requests. Expedite client’s orders (pumps and spares orders). Gather market intelligence about customers, competitors, markets to help develop marketing and sales strategy. Support Product Manager in developing the required foot print in the territory. Look for Brownfields and solution driven opportunities for all products on various sites. Effective usage of C4C, timeously providing reports and data as required. Implement rationalization and promote new technology for the territory. Adhere to HSE and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites.

Job Qualification & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree – Mechanical/Chemical/Process/Metallurgical Engineering Valid Driver’s License Computer Literate – MS Office Suite, ERP Software

Minimum Experience:

2-3 years in technical sales & mining industry as mechanical and process equipment supplier on pumps, cyclones, mill circuits, comminution circuits, etc. Proven sales track record

Minimum Skills/Abilities:

Excellent business communication at all levels. Ability to define and solve problems in a timely manner. Ability to deal with difficult customers and respond promptly to customer needs. Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities. Cost conscious.
