Top Fixed Gas and Fire Detection in Mining firm seeks Senior Sales Specialist - Mining Equipment. Identify strategic mining projects and position organisation as preferred provider.
Non-Negotiables (We will check):
* Extensive networks at the Mining Design houses e.g. Hatch, Bateman and TWP
* Strategic thinker who can operate on board level
* Proven track record of successful sales in mining systems (Must have physical proof of attainment) Specific sales experience to mines in Africa
* Strongly Adv: Specific experience in Fixed Gas and Fire Detection or Similar Solutions
* Driver personality
* Exceptional networker
* 10 years experience in gas detection, process control or similar
* 5 years experience in selling mining solutions via consulting houses
What the person must be able to do:
This role is in the Fixed Gas and Fire Detection in Mining sector. All duties would take place in this context.
* Identify New Projects
* Network with mining engineering houses to find new projects being implemented in Africa
* Build relationships with Mine owners
* Requirements Analysis
* Understand the technical requirements of the project
* Technical Solution Development
* Jointly collaborate with customer to develop a practical technical solution
* Solution and Project Costing
* Contractuals and Negotiations
* Close Deals
* Oversee Deployment
Key Job Deliverables:
* New Customer Acquisitions
* Close large scale Fixed Gas and Fire Detection Deals
* Growth of Project Acquisitions from Project Houses
Background work experience:
* 10 years experience in gas detection, process control or similar
* 5 years experience in selling mining solutions via consulting houses
* Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree BTECH
* Understanding the Technical Details of Fixed Gas and Fire Detection Systems
* Doing business with African Mines
* Extensive exposure to Oil, Gas, Petroleum and Chemical Segments
* Adv: Can speak Portuguese or French
