Senior SAP Payroll Manager – Johannesburg (Fixed Term Contract)

We are urgently seeking a skilled, and commercially astute SAP Payroll Manager for an interim (8 month) role based in Johannesburg East.

This is a role that requires management experience with the ability to thrive under pressure. SAP HR/Payroll experience are very essential for this opportunity.


You will need to meet the following requirements:
• B. Com (or similar business related) Undergraduate Degree (HR/Payroll or similar)
• General Reconciliation for Payroll Balance Sheet Accounts
• Managerial capacity / experience
• Payroll Experience
• SAP Payroll (non negotiable)
• Skilled communicator with strong verbal and written abilities

Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Performing audits on payroll master data integrity.
• Ensuring systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts (union and non-union)
• Balancing the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.
• Maintaining and ensuring budgets are accurate, annual, in accordance to the timetable, according to departmental, divisional plan and monthly reviews.
• Costs managed against budget and current forecast, accurate monthly analysis of results and accurate report back at management meetings.
• Communicating actively with Operations, HR and Billing to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing
• Maintaining payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures and update relevant stakeholders on changes.
• Managing regular preparation of relevant management reports, including weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)

Package: Highly negotiable and commensurate with experience
