We are seeking a senior security officer to work for a reputable company in Wellington. You must be dedicated and willing to commit to this position

POST REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum Matric or relevant NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
• Grade A Security Training (PSIRA), NKP Certificate and Firearm competency are all essential.
• Experience and competence in First Aid and Fire Fighting.
• Knowledge and experience of security related legislations as they apply to NKP facilities.
• Security clearance with SSA/ DoD.
• Ability to exercise a degree of judgment and ability to act quickly in an emergency.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance.
• Good problem solving, persuasiveness and client relationship skills.
? Basic interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills.
• Basic communication, planning and organizing skills.
• An initiator who can work independently as well as in a team.
• Code 08 driver’s license is essential.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Supervision & Control: Supervision and scheduling of personnel on shifts, access and egress control; guarding and patrolling of the site, controlling of firearms, ammunition and security equipment.
• Incident Reporting and Investigation: Investigate and reporting on incidents.
• Key Control: Control over RDM keys for Security and emergency purposes.
• Security Vehicles: Control over vehicles i.e. inspections and checklists.
• Documentation and Document Control: Inspection of all security documentation and registers for completeness and correctness.
• SHE Program: Maintain the RDM SHE Program and application of weed killers and pesticides on Security fences.
• Access control: Checking of employee’s and visitor’s ID, searching of employees, visitors and vehicles, monitoring & controlling of movement and monitoring of intoxication of drugs and alcohol
