Your key job responsibilities as the Senior SEO Strategist in Cape Town will include:

- Take a high level overview of campaigns and deliver measureable results
- Full understanding of redirection and SEO considerations in terms of new site launches
- Intelligently interpret and respond to internal and client briefs
- Conduct full website Audits, reporting and present to clients
- Consult with Development Teams to guide high level website builds to achieve maximum possible traffic volumes
- Assist client service in drafting the brief where the content is particularly challenging
- Work collaboratively at a senior level with other teams
- Anticipate potential project problems and provide clear, actionable solutions
- Guide and teach more junior members of team
- Research and explore best practices
- Take short-term leadership of team when Head of SEO is unavailable

Requirements for this Senior SEO Strategist job in Cape Town:

- 4 years’ experience in, and a thorough understanding of search engine optimisation and digital marketing tactics
- Complete understanding of SEO within the Marketing Space
- Basic understanding of HTML
- Ability to analyse a website from a technical perspective
- An understanding of best practice technical requirements for search, and the effect of various technologies on search rankings (Meta tags, XML video sitemaps etc.)
- Experience using SEO-specific tools
- A good understanding of web analytics tools (GA, SiteCatalyst etc.)
