Job Description To service and maintain customer equipment with the Black and White and Colour Digital Copier environment in the East Rand area to ensure a high level of equipment availability and customer satisfaction.
The Senior Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring calls are attended to within the prescribed time frame to promote a professional service image.
The Senior Service Engineer is responsible for escalating any issues (physical faults or observations) that may impact on the efficiency/productivity of customer units as well as co-ordinating product workshops to train and advise Service Engineers with specific regard to fault finding skills and general product performance / fault related issues including connectivity.
To exhibit a proactive approach in attending to customer problems/needs and avoidance of customer dissatisfaction, to display a total commitment to putting the customer first.
To perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on customers equipment ensuring that effective call productivity standards are achieved, thus providing customers with reliable and cost effective maintenance.
Achievement of effective call productivity standards and service processes including: communication with work control, call escalation procedures, admin & billing procedures, spares usage and meter readings.
To maintain updated knowledge of all product developments / bulletins & technology updates.
To actively participate with peers and other departments in the flow of information which, would lead to an improvement in communication and motivation.
To co-ordinate product workshops to coach / advice Service Engineers with specific regard to fault finding skills and general product performance and other related issues.
To demonstrate care of all company assets including van kits, to maintain the value of the assets in their possession.
To continuously strive to improve knowledge of the customers changing needs in terms of the equipment and operational requirements and provide usage and maintenance guidance and support to the customer.
To exhibit a proactive approach to self-development with regard to skills and technology advancements including systems and connectivity.
To plan, organise, lead and co-ordinate subordinate staff to achieve principle accountabilities in the absence of the senior manager.
PACE- must have a record of solid and consistent performance
Implement and maintain equipment maintenance and Software programs.
Job Requirements Matric (Maths & Science)
N3 Electronic / Electromechanical qualification or equivalent diploma
5-10 years Colour & Mono copier / fax / electromechanical repair experience
