Senior Shipping Controller – Export – Cape Town

Well Established Company is looking for a Shipping Controller with 5+ years’ experience in the same role.

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric, with a Degree or relevant qualification in Logistics/Supply Chain would be an advantage
• 5+ years’ experience in same role
• Computer Literacy – Excel, MS Access,
• Manufacturing or Distribution Export experience

Responsibilities:
• Liaison with distributors – Local and International
• Ensure clients’ needs are met in terms of shipment details, timing, shipping and product documentation.
• Liaise with freight agents
• Negotiate best shipping option for client
• Keep track of production, label delivery date and stack movements
• Check and track shipping documentation
• Liaise between admin, factory and technical departments
• Complete factory instructions
• General administrative duties
• Filing of all shipping documentation
• Ensure Access shipment file is updated and closed off on completion of shipment
