A leading and well known IT Security company is looking for a hands on technical whizz to lead their team of support specialists as well as pitch in technically when needed. Their clients run primarily on Microsoft, but a few run on Linux so experience in both operating systems would be beneficial.

Role description:

Minimum Requirements
This position is that of a Senior consultant with at least 3-5 years’ experience in the IT networking environment and preferred qualifications will be A+, N+, MCSE / MCITP (2003-2008) certified. Must have management experience or Team leader experience. Candidate must have own Car and a valid Driver’s Licence.
Nice to Have: Project Experience, Apple Mac Experience

Job Specification

The Senior Support Supervisor Consultant will be responsible for:
• Advanced proactive and reactive work within the client portfolio of his/her team, working with incidents, problem management & change management.
• Assistance with projects or act as project lead at their clients, of which he/she will be incentivised.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in resolution of workstation hardware and software issues as well as peripherals.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in resolution of server hardware and software, installations, migrations and roll-outs (Hyper V and VMware, Exchange 2007 upwards)
• Ability to setup connectivity solutions such as ADSL for example.
• Thorough understanding of LANs and WANs and associated hardware as well as Firewall experience
• Must have a good understanding of Active Directory setup and administration.
• Must be able to setup enterprise Antivirus solutions and troubleshoot problems.
• Must be able to install and migrate Active Directory and Exchange
• Required to interact with clients in terms of supplying recommendations to improve their network.
• Management of roaming support team, act as escalation point and first line support for team members
• Reports directly to Support Manager
