Hands-on implementer that will be configuring and supporting client solutions. IT-sense (strong on database) with an interest in application design/implementation and the client’s underlying business
5+ years’ financial services experience – investments or asset management experience will be an advantage
Salary range R40K+pm cost to company depending on experience
B.Com, B.Sc or B.Eng degree with IT related subjects as majors, from one of the following universities: UCT, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Wits, Pretoria, North West(only Potchefstroom campus), Free State, KZN, Nelson Mandela
Above average results. Guideline is 60% average at university and A or B for Maths HG in matric.

To shadow the team leader and assist in team management and guidance with a key focus on transforming of the clients requirement into a detail design. The Senior will also mentor and delegate to Junior and Mid-Level resources

Management ? Defining the work breakdown structure and the delegation thereof
? Delegate tasks to team members) and monitor delivery or progress thereof.
? Manage and be accountable for overall task estimation of deliverables
Project Management ? Understand the scope of the project
? Facilitate the WBS along with the iteration and project milestone planning
Design and Analysis ? Review requirements documentation.
? Document Requirements
? Involved in the design session.
? Document the design, i.e. DB and Process
Client Relationship Management ? The role must be client facing and the senior must be seen by the client as a vital member of the team, hence the senior must liaise with the client
Administration ? Complete timesheets in a timely manner
Implementation: Technical ? Complete timesheets in a timely manner completing tasks as assigned to the individual.
? Proactively provide feedback to person that has delegated the work
? Test peers solution
? Quality assurance
? Testing (Unit and end to end testing)
? Involved UAT
? Deployment in UAT, QA, Prod and DR
? System and Business Documentation
? Take ownership of the full solution
Implementation: Business ? Have detailed understanding of Business
? Be able to impart the business knowledge to Mid and Juniors or any colleague
