Superior ability to investigate and analyze information in troubleshooting

Design scalable, supportable systems for operational problems

Superior ability to interpret business requirements and functional specifications

Create innovative and logical solutions to problems while following governance guidelines

Document technical specifications based on agreed business and functional requirements

Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers and Testers to ensure designed solutions meet the expressed need or business problem

Support the team in assessing off the shelf technology products for technical suitability

Ability to comply with governance processes and structure

Review Junior Analysts specs for accuracy and appropriateness

Qualifications and experience

• Degree / Diploma in Information Technology  
• Honours Degree in Information Technology (an advantage)
• 5 years experience as a Systems Analyst and / or Developer
• Advanced: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
• .Net, Java, SQL (database, queries, reporting)
• UML, Web application development, Web services
• Microsoft development tools
• Process flow charts, sequence diagrams and use cases
• Programming logic
• OO design, .Net, SQL 
• Experience in service oriented architecture (an advantage)
• Experience in mobile software development (an advantage)
• Own vehicle with a valid unendorsed driver’s license and willing to travel when required
