Skills and Knowledge

BCom, B.Sc, or B.Eng degree with computer related subjects as majors, from one of the following universities: UCT, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Wits, Pretoria, North West, Free State, KZN, Nelson Mandela
Above average results. Guideline is 60% average at university and A or B for Maths HG in matric.
5+ years’ financial services experience – investments or asset management experience will be an advantage

Responsibilities
Management

Defining the work breakdown structure and the delegation thereof
Delegate tasks to team members and monitor delivery or progress thereof
Manage and be accountable for overall task estimation of deliverables

Design and Analysis

Review requirements documentation.
Documentation requirements
Involved in the design session
Document the design, i.e. DB and Process

Implementation: Technical

Complete timesheets in a timely manner completing tasks as assigned to the individual
Proactively provide feedback to person that has delegated the work
Quality assurance
Testing (Unit and end to end testing)
Involved in UAT
Deployment in UAT, QA, Prod and DR
System and Business Documentation
Take ownership of the full solution

Implementation: Business

Have detailed understanding of Business
Be able to impart the business knowledge to Mid and Juniors
Matching business understanding to Solution

Project Management

Understand the scope of the project
Facilitate the WBS along with the iteration and project milestone and planning

Client Relationship Management

The role is client facing and the senior must be seen by the client as a vital member of the team, hence the senior must liaise with the client.

Administration

Complete timesheets in a timely manner
