SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Senior Technologist Clinpath in Hillcrest, Kwazulu Natal for an exciting role within a Clinical Laboratory Organisation in the medical field.

The following are the qualifications, experience, knowledge and attributes requirements:

Education, Training and Experience

• National Diploma in Medical Technology (Clinical Pathology)
• HPCSA registration as Medical Technologist (Clinical Pathology)
• 2 years working experience within a pathology environment
• Understanding of pathology test procedures.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and methodologies.
• Knowledge of Quality Control
• Knowledge of the Meditech system
• Training skills

Key performance areas

• Perform general Senior responsibilities on benches to ensure best practice is upheld within the laboratory
• Train staff in order to ensure a sufficient level of staff competency is upheld
• Perform bench responsibilities in order to ensure that specimens are processed timeously
• Maintain good client relations to promote the image of the Company
