THE POSITION

We are looking for an experienced and confident sales champion with a proven successful sales track record. This individual must have the drive and initiative to earmark and turnaround opportunities, who will hit the ground running with a strong passion for success. The focus for this position is the generation of new business and revenue for the business in order to align with the National Sales Objectives.
The opportunity for the right candidate is significant. In this senior role this individual will need to manage their projects and initiatives independently, whilst maintaining the current reporting structure to that of the Branch Manager and his progressively growing team. Technically forward individuals with experience in solution/project selling will have an advantage when applying for this position. This role is of utmost importance to the success of our business.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Searching for new clients who could benefit from company products or services
• Managing and interpreting customer requirements
• listening to clients to understand, anticipate and exceed their needs
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers
• Communicating the customer’s requirements to the engineering team so that projects are clearly scoped and specified
• Project managing implementation of lighting solutions with customers
• Liaising with clients and their electricians regarding most efficient and preferred installation method
• Keeping constant communication with the Cape Town team to improve knowledge on products
• Research all aspects of lighting so that you improve and develop your knowledge
• Working on clearly set out, accurate client quotations
• Communicate to the production team to ensure that the work for the clients is tracked and sped through the system - Offering after-sales support services
• Administering client accounts - Preparing own sales reports for management meetings for progress on all projects
• Meeting deadlines
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
• Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
• Liaising with other members of the team and technical experts
• Solving client queries (including problem solving)
• Providing training and producing support material for other members of the team
• Any other task that management may reasonably assign to you

• Resourceful problem solver who is able to work around technical obstacles and will be adept at the implementation of practical solutions - Tertiary education an advantage
