Main Purpose of Job: To manage the Condition Monitoring aspects on Rotating Plant
Managing the Condition Monitoring Site Activities
ability to demonstrate ability, proficiency, knowledge and understanding to:
• Performing administrative, operational, quality and safety
• Control activities on site for MMS
• Daily operations Customer and site Manager meetings
• Failure investigation, Root cause analysis and Report writing
• Monthly vibration report writing and general feedback to the Customer
• Will be required to do standby duties
• Manage database and set-up as specified in MMS work instructions
• Vibration Monitoring Standard (Routine Monitoring Equipment)
• Adhere to all calibration and validity certification of all test equipment
• Archiving of all machine data according to MMS Work Instructions
• Archiving of Reports, correspondence and Machine Data
• Loading of SAP notifications
• Plan and schedule work to cover the scope-of-work
• Liaise with the relevant customers and provide Technical advice in respect of the following:
o Technical information in all relevant reports
o Contractual requirements
o Planning and work scheduling and on customer request.
This included attendance of all relevant meetings as requested by the customer and raise defects.
•Training and Mentoring of Sub-Ordinates

Minimum Qualification Required Minimum Experience Required
• N Dip/S4 Mechanical
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Vib 1, Vib 2, Vib 3 and Vib 4
• Bearing Failure Analysis
• Thermography 1
• Thermography 2
• Electrical Motor Analysis
• Root cause analysis
• Basic Tribology
• Online Monitoring
• Supervisory

Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Attributes) Required
Skills:
• Must be computer literate
• Leadership skills
• Experienced in vibration report writing skills
• Familiar with Industrial safety requirements
• General knowledge of Human Resources and Industrial Relations

Knowledge:
• In depth knowledge of RBMware vibration software
• Good knowledge of Online Vibration Monitoring

Behavioural Attributes:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to work/act as Site Manager when called for
• A self-motivate person with a high level of self-discipline
• Experienced on Power Generation Plant

SHEQ Responsibilities:
Continuous Improvement: Ensure that your Administration Document is current, and includes your SHEQ objectives. Ensure that all legal appointments are valid and in place for your area of control.

Reduce Rework: Measure and report on Rework vs. Revenue for your department on a monthly basis and ensure you reduce rework to less than 0.5% of your turnover
ISO and OHSAS Certification: Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the documented process and comply with the requirements of ISO and OHSAS certification.
Audit Rating: Maintain an audit score of less than 2 and/or receive no major audit findings
