SENIOR TECHNOLOGIST
Introduction
A vacancy exists in the Bloemfontein Office for a Senior Technologist to perform technical tasks connected to civil engineering research as well as the design, construction and maintenance of building and other structures.
Job Specification
Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties :

• To assists design and project teams for projects for Roads, Storm Water and Sewer Water.
• Ensure appropriate technical standards are applied on projects.
• Undertake investigations and designs, prepare feasibility reports and design reports.
• To assist line management by providing excellent client service.
• Contract Documentation and quantity measurements.
• To comply with ILISO’s QMS requirements in the day to day carrying out of tasks and
responsibilities
• Sustained supervision and technical guidance of junior staff on common projects.
• Provide input in the preparation of bids as required and undertake appropriate marketing activities for the benefit of the company.
• Ensure allocate tasks and projects are completed timeously, within allocated budget and in accordance with client’s requirements.
• Part time Site Supervision
• Contribute to the creation of a productive working environment and effective administration for office and Proman.

Specialist knowledge required
• Knowledge on SANS 1200 specifications
• Knowledge on COLTO specifications and proficiency in Excel
• Knowledge in Model maker or Techno CAD or AutoCAD 3D or any other design programme

Personal characteristics
• Work with minimum supervision with excellent organizational, accountable, systematic, self-.
motivated and Un- ambiguous

Requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Educational level
• Bsc Eng or B Tech(Civil)
• Minimum of 5 years ‘ experience
