A client based in the CBD of Pretoria, has a vacancy (12m contract) for a Senior Test Analyst.

The main purpose of this position is the end-to-end testing of the Business Intelligence (BI) reports being developed in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
The testing will cover both the back-end (ETL, Database layers, Star Schemas, Cubes) and front-end reports (BI Analysis and Reporting) aspects of the solution
This testing includes functional testing, performance testing and regression testing as well as co-ordinating and reporting on User Acceptance testing (UAT) execution, plus sign off
To define test approach for the project and highlighting and mitigate risks
Preparing test data to align to the testing scenarios in each environment
Design Test Cases and upload onto HP ALM
Link test cases to business requirements
Enforce the TCoE standards within the project
Record test execution results
Manage testing defects
Reporting and obtaining sign off for each test cycle
Functional, Regression, Performance, Stress testing and User Acceptance Testing
Design and develop new test cases in line with the test strategy and plan
Understand existing test cases and test data and execute the test cases and validate results in line with the project schedule
Use various tools properly, including defect tracking, test case definition tracking and test case execution tracking
Participate in team review of requirements / design documentation for purposes of test planning and to validate requirements testability
Understand and leverage existing manual and / or automated test cases; design and develop new test cases (where needed) in line with the test strategy and plan
Implement and develop overall test strategy and test plan for manual and / or automated testing Support execution of test cases and the validation of results, manage workload to a schedule, meet deadlines

Minimum requirements:
5 to 8 years’ experience in Test execution and or Test Lead
HP ALM Testing Tool knowledge and skill
Understanding of BI related architecture concepts and concepts of Landing, Staging, DataCubes and Data Marts
Experience in SQL commands
Understanding of testing concepts used for data validation from Source to Target
ETL Testing principles
Degree / Diploma in a relevant field
ISTQB TA or equivalent qualification
