Role Description 
The Senior Tester will be accountable for manual system testing on developed systems, as well as operating as a test analyst. 

Qualifications / Technical Skills

• Grade 12 certificate
• Testing Certification is beneficial
• 3-5 years testing manual testing experience

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for fault analysis and management
• Ensure consistent quality measures and output. Includes Management progress reports
• Accountable for manual systems testing on developed systems, using Quality Centre Tool
• Maintains continuity of system knowledge over all testing projects or areas
• Reviews draft specification created by BA as part of Quality Assurance
• Logs faults and reviews fault logs
• Reviews test cases and make recommendations on optimizing them
• Tracks faults and prepare metrics on faults
• Develops and refines test cases and test procedures
• Ensures proper test prioritisation according to risk-based techniques
• Develops and implements test strategy
• Plans the test environment
• Assists in the implementation of testing methodologies
• Uses test management techniques to calculate the amount of time it will take to test the project
• Develops and oversees the rollout of the test methodology for each project, taking care to keep those methods that are already successful
• User testing (UAT) facilitation, handover and support
• Adhere to agreed testing standards

Experience  

• Experience with Quality Centre Tool
• Ability to follow procedures and governances as set out by SDLC
• Understand the various Insurance Industry business model and support process/systems will be beneficial
