Scope

• Develop automated functional test scripts
• Execute automated functional tests, capture and analyze results
• Log all defects and track through retest to closure
• Maintain automation script framework and repository
• Escalate risks/issues to Technical Testing Capability Manager
• Define, plan, execute and report on all automation activities within a testing project, including script planning, execution, and defect logging.
• Understand and analyze automation requirements
• Understand current level of automation
• Define approach and methodology for automation
• Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools
• Setup and manage tool suite
• Define Metrics and measures to evaluate automation effectiveness. Assist in ROI analysis
• Design and develop automation framework
• Develop automated functional test script suite
• Execute automated functional test, capture and analyze results
• Log defects
• Maintain automation script repository
• Very good understanding of automated testing processes and methodologies
• Very good understanding and hands-on experience with automation testing tools
• Experience in automation frameworks design and implementation
• Experience in automated test design, test scripting, script execution, capturing results, reporting defects and maintenance of test suite
• Good understanding of the applications under test
• Good understanding of system architecture
• Executes tests and prepares reports on test progress and regression
• Conducts/Attends test procedure walk-throughs
• Follows test-design standards
• Designs, develops and executes reusable and maintainable automated scripts
• Uses capture/playback tools for GUI automation and/or develops test harnesses using a development or scripting language, as applicable
• Designs and develops test procedures and cases based upon requirements

Requirements:
Requirement Test Automation Senior
Three year qualification or 5 years Test Analyst experience
8 plus years IT experience
7 plus years HPQC and QTP (UFT) Experience
Previous Eskom testing experience
Patch Management Testing Experience
