Senior trainer/ICT Project officer

(2 years fixed-contract)

Job Purpose
To plan, design, coordinate, implement, manage and evaluate ICT Projects.

Key Responsibilities

Management and Administration
1. Plan and implement various ICT Projects, programs and events
• ICT Training for teachers
• Staff training
• MS Office training
• Training for GDE Officials
• General ICT training
• Special ICT Projects
2. Management and Administration of Microsoft Imagine Academy, Microsoft IT Academy,
3. Manage and administer official examinations and assessments
4. Manage procurement of hardware and software for training
5. Manage achievement of annual targets
6. Supervise and evaluate trainers, interns
7. Manage the professional development of trainers and interns
8. Responsible for preparing and submission of reports
9. Responsible for maintaining stakeholder relationships: GDE, COJ, DELL, Microsoft, Cisco etc.
10. Attending relevant ICT events i.e. annual conferences, meeting with partners and sponsors; ICT & Youth Development conferences
11. Quality Assurance of all assigned ICT programs.

ICT training
12. Deliver training to meet set targets
13. Conduct trainee and program evaluations and assessments
14. Support trainees in preparation for exams
15. Prepare and submit reports

Minimum requirements:
1.1 Education
• Formal qualification (Certificate, Diploma, Degree) in training
• Strong IT teaching/training credential will be advantageous
• IT qualification in technical hardware software and/or networking, programming , and/ or database design and management, and/or website design and management advantageous
• Required qualifications: Microsoft Office Specialist, MS Project, MS Visio.

1.2 Relevant work experience
• Experience in managing, facilitating or training of ICT programs
• Proficiency in Technical Networking, hardware and software operations and maintenance
• Experience in training administration system software i.e. ESS, SAP, etc.
• Experience in training management and administration advantageous
• Exposure to educational environment
• IT experience in technical hardware software and/or networking, programming and/or database design and management, and/ or website and management
• Project management experience advantageous
