A renowned Mining Company based in Neilspruit is looking for a Senior Training Officer-Plant:

The following qualifications and experience may be considered to be essential for this position:
? Grade 12/Standard 10
? National Certificate OD ETD Practitioner NQF 5
? Lump Ore Beneficiation Certificate NQF 3
? Registered Assessor
? Registered Moderator (Advantageous)
? 5 years Plant operation training experience
? Medically fit (“Red Ticket”)
? Computer literacy. (Intermediate)
? Valid driver’s licence.

The incumbent’s responsibilities will include amongst others the following:
? Provide consistent quality training according to safety, legal and national requirements.
? Liaise with Line Management regarding skills gaps and training as requested.
? Liaise with Line Management to align training with regards to changes of legal, operational and work
practices/requirements.
? Facilitate training interventions and conduct assessments.
? Gather and compile training / assessment documentation as per ISO & MQA Standards
? Represent HRD at Accident enquiries / Investigations and implement corrective training and safety
actions
? Compile relevant monthly training reports and ensure training records are kept up date.
? Ensure all attendance registers are completed and filed.
? Ensure learners receive certificates where appropriate.
? Determine competence using standard methodologies.
? Access and update MQA web site and record/ log individual employee competence including links to
applicable assessors and moderations.
? Conduct risk assessments and close out non-conformance Report’s related to the role.
? Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures.
? Attend production and safety meeting and address relevant training requirements.
