KNOWLEDGE / MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Must be in possession of a Galileo Certificate and sign on code.Must be fully au fait with Galileo Ticketing on the GDS.Automated Refunds via Galileo/BSP Link.Quicktrav Front Office System.Quicktrav Invoicing System.MS Windows and MS Office.Have a basic knowledge of travel accounting for invoicing purposes.Have an excellent understanding of airline terms and travel industry knowledge. ADVANTAGE KNOWLEDGE / CRITERIA:Ticketing and Fares knowledge – IT Fare knowledge.A current BSP Certificate with an IATA code.GDM and Tourplan is advantageous. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Senior Travel Consultant OUTPUTS:Provide the highest level of service to the Travel Client Base (both internal and external)with regard to all travel requirements.Be able to converse and advise top management on all their travel requests.Be a team player; be flexible and energetic with good listening skills and a positive attitude.Also be very organised with good administration skills and also be able to work independently.Have good attention to detail and time management skills and able to prioritize work load for the most urgent flight and travel requests. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:Quote and confirm domestic, regional and international flights and land arrangements.Book and issue airline tickets on the Galileo GDS Reservation System.Book car hire, transfers and third party accommodation.Access the BSP Link to process Virtual MPD’s/EMDs.Clear Galileo Q’s twice per day.Process quotations and confirmations on the Quicktrav Front Desk system.Supply concise travel itineraries.Process SAA Voyager upgrades and requests from the Directors.Confirm Business and Leisure travel.Processing own refunds.Process visa applications.Capturing of booking in Tourplan.Order Forex.Emergency phone to be manned on a rotation basis for a period of one week per consultant.
