Minimum Requirement:
• Must have BEng/BSc Engineering with MDP
• Must have a GCC + Certification in Energy Management
• Must have 5 years’ experience on electrical network maintenance, energy management and contract negotiations and team management
• Duties:
Managing the following teams:
Motor Management
High Tension
Water Plant/Effluent Treatment Plant
Control & Instrumentation
Electrical Maintenance
Lab Maintenance
Management of areas include:
Maintenance
Optimisation
Repair of installed and spare electrical equipment
Energy management of the company
Collection of data
Compilation and reporting the energy consumption of the total plant, different business units and detail focus areas
Health and Safety of the team as well as the technical integrity of plant and equipment
New energy saving projects must be identified, saving tracked against targets and savings optimised with additional mechanisms such as tax rebates and carbon credits
Negotiations together with Procurement and Legal on energy supply contract
Dealing with energy suppliers for electricity and gas
Liaising with Government and other bodies such as Nersa, Department of Energy and Treasury
Representing company on forums such as EIUG, Gas User Group, Industry Task Team for Climate Change and Busa
