Leading Mobile & Web Development Company is recruiting a Senior Web Developer (PHP, Javascript, JQuery, HTML5, WordPress) with 5 years’ experience to join their dynamic team. Car & driver’s license essential.

Salary: Market related, negotiable depending on candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Qualifications required:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• IT related Degree / Diploma
• MCSD (Advantage)

Skills & experience required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as Senior Web Developer
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience having managed a development team of at least 15 developers working on multiple, and large scale projects
• Architecture of software solutions within a variety of technology stacks using development tools
• Strong current or recent software development experience
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
• Demonstrated experience working with the leadership team of a business
• Proven track record in estimating project times against deliverables with consistent accuracy
• Ability to manage the creation of project specification documents, ensuring they meet user and business requirements
• Ability to capture requirements, perform analysis and develop process improvement approaches
• Ability to readily comprehend business expectations that affect the current architecture and future strategy
• Experience in adopting systems, procedures and methodologies in implementing and driving change
• A proven ability of establishing and monitoring the acceptable performance levels of individuals, and achieving growth in their productivity
• Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs
• Experience writing daily internal status reports demonstrating excellent planning and organisation
• Experience in producing risk assessment and mitigation analysis for applicable projects
• Responsive design (Bootstrap or other frameworks)
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with Nginx / Apache
• Experience in web server set up, services and optimisation
• Web Analytics tools (eg, New Relic)
• A strong online presence (you share your interests on social media) and innate drive to share your knowledge (active participation in the community)
