The client requires the services of a full time Consultant for a highly technical role, with requirements to perform system administration and maintenance of the Micro Focus (Serena) Dimensions CM and Deployment Automation tools.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
Troubleshoots application issues, creates user manuals and conducts upgrades and training
Dimensions database management and configurations
Review work of team members as related to verification of builds, scripts, installation procedures, source code control, and issue tracking
Serve as the main point of contact top level contributor/specialist for all activities performed by the Process and Technical Team, including configuration management, records management, software process improvement, technical writing, web engineering, and application operations and maintenance
Responsible for assigning, monitoring, and reporting on task assignments across the team while also performing hands-on technical activities
Track releases to process compliance and recommend best practices for automated tool implementation, usage, and practices
Creation, documentation, maintenance, and application of standard operating procedures for the team
Provides consultation on complex projects
Training users, addressing new or changed business needs of the tool, and following agile and waterfall methodologies
Conducting and observing builds, understanding how the build is conducted, and reporting results
Responsible for application configuration management, including administration of users, features, interfaces, reports, and workflows within the suite of tools within the environment, with particular focus on Serena/MicroFocus
Collect requirements from customer for enhancements to workflows and RM schemas, access control and reporting
Establish knowledgebase for Dimensions & Deployment Automation
Conduct regular audits and ensure all findings are addressed

Minimum Experience Required
At least two (2) years of experience in the technical administration of Serena Dimensions
At least four (4) years of hand-on experience with the software development life cycle as an analyst, developer, and/or tester
At least two (2) years of experience in a lead role for a technical team responsible for configuration management and/or application operations within an SDLC environment
Serena Dimensions Certification
Must have knowledge of commonly-used IT concepts, methodologies, best practices, and procedures for software development and process management
Experience with server administration
Familiarity with SDA database setup and maintenance
Familiar with plug-ins
