We are looking for a Service Centre Engineer (IT Helpdesk Technician) for a National Company in Port Elizabeth.

Minimum requirements:
2-3 years experience as an IT Engineer
A 3 year degree/diploma in engineering or a Professional Level Technology certification
Good English language skills
A+, N+ and CCNA certification preferable
Own vehicle and driver’s license essential due to shift work
Must be prepared to work shifts

Duties & Responsibilities:
We will ask you to take responsibility for 1st and 2nd line remote desktop support in a 24 x 7 (Shift Structured) environment
We use the following environments/ platforms : Microsoft, Windows Support and MS Office 2003 to 2013
Be responsible for hardware and software troubleshooting via remote desktop support tools
Remote monitoring of WAN/LAN systems, remote application servers and business services for our clients
Perform 1st line support in the network and server environments
Provide telephonic support in a 24 x 7 environment to all our customers
Perform service desk administration tasks on a daily basis
