Service Engineer
A company in Pretoria requires the services of a Service Engineer.
The Role
· The ideal candidate will be responsible for VSAT installation support, Customer Support & Service, within the service team.
· Responsible for working with Satellite Communication Equipment Vendors, VSAT Service Providers and Teleport Operators.
· Responsible for liaising with the Satellite Operator & Field Engineers to bring the new Sites into the Network and interacting with the Customers, Vendors, Satellite Operators for resolution of Service related problems.
Mandatory requirements

· Matric or equivalent certificate
· Drivers licence
· Diploma in: Electronic Engineering or Computer Technology

Desired Skills
· Preferred Sectors of experience in: VSAT, Telecom, Microwave, IT with some work experience in the field.
· Knowledge in Network Operation, Network Optimization, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP networking and routing and switching protocols
· Knowledge in Installation, Testing and Servicing of Satellite, Microwave ,RF Communication.
· Modems (preferable experience in Comtech, iDirect and Newtech), Encoders, Switches, and Antenna System (1.2,1.8,2.4m Antennas).
