On to the job!
As a Service Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the SECURITY Services Operations in the Western Cape Operational Services structure and will be accountable for maintaining a rightsized capable team that’s trained, certified and motivated to perform Operational, Managed Services and Professional Services tasks.
Basically you'll be managing the delivery of the services in the Security Business Unit to clients that the business has contractually committed to provide. 

You will be:
  • Creating and delivering SEC service offerings in conjunction with the Business Unit which maximise revenue and profitability;
  • Leading and managing Services to achieve relevant People and Culture targets and ambitions;
  • Recruiting, maintaining and managing a workforce of sufficient, appropriately skilled, motivated employees to ensure maximum organisational profitability as well as employee and client satisfaction;
  • Driving a culture of high performance, commitment and professionalism throughout Services;
  • Responsible for Service Excellence: Leading and managing Services to achieve and exceed on relevant Line of Business client satisfaction targets; and,
  • Creating and maintaining structures and processes to ensure that all client commitments are met with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

As manager of the SEC Services organization you are required to plan and execute delivery of the services that the company are contractually bound to deliver in terms of the contracts held with clients:
  • To present these service offerings to the sales force and to clients;
  • To provide accurate pricing and quotes for services on SEC technology; and,
  • To negotiate SLA’s and the details of contracts.
You will be interfacing with the sales force, project office and the Security Business Unit to provide expertise from the Services organisation in determining project timelines and costs as well as to plan for and provide sufficient, correctly skilled technical staff to meet the engineering requirements of the various projects taken on by the organisation. 

Part of your role is to recruit and manage a motivated, appropriately skilled and equipped, operationally ready pool of engineers while building and growing the Security business, technologies, products and solutions. 

You will need to provide input into the budget setting process and provide regular feedback during the financial year around how the actual achieved metrics are tracking against budget, and keep record of and maintain financial metrics relating to the Security Services organisation. 

Job Requirements
  • You need to have grade 12 and Associated qualifications
  • At least 5 years' management experience
  • It is paramount to your success that you have excellent client relations and client centric skills as well as financial acumen
  • You will be the face of the company quite often and therefore must have excellent communications skills (able to communicate with competence, fluent both in verbal or written form). 
  • Lastly, it is required that you have good problem solving skills and an innovative approach in finding solutions to client’s needs.
