Engineering (hands on strong technical experience) however would have sales responsibilities as well.
For our EE profile requirement first price would be BEE/AA.
Base salary in the range of R40 -R42k pm depending on experience and then benefits on top of this. Medical aid co contributes 66% and pension with group cover 11%. Company car, fuel card, cellphone etc. Candidate also will need to go for training in France for 4 months.

Service & Sales Engineer - Mpumalanga
Purpose and scope:
To integrate the knowledge and experience of a Technical Service Representative into the
Sales and Marketing activities and tactics of the Mpumalanga region by the demonstration of leadership in providing and/or coordinating a complete spectrum of technical services to the customer plant and design engineering interface associated with avoidance and resolution of all problems relating to product quality and performance.
The resulting customer relationships are then leveraged to promote Client bearings and related products and/or services to selected key customers and to support through technical consultation, various bearing and service business development tactics of specific strategy industries. Developing broader commercial opportunities at both existing and new customer's to ensure that Client takes full advantage of these opportunities in order to strengthen customer relationships and grow the business
To provide analysis, product design, application engineering services, engineering document control and failure analysis within AS9100 and Client specific procedures (where applicable), to products that are the responsibility of Client.
Position Requirements:
• At least 5 -8 years’ experience in a related Service & Sales function within a manufacturing/industrial industry.
• Strong aptitude of mechanical systems - ability to read mechanical engineering drawings and suggest application recommendations.
• Understand & speaks segment technical language
• Solid market and sales knowledge of the Mpumalanga region.
• Ability & skill to engage with customers commercial & technical depts.
• Ability to deliver presentations to customers at all levels in the organisation.
• Self-motivated and initiative to achieve objectives, with minimal supervision.
• Experience in an American multinational company will be helpful.
• A strong personality, balanced with excellent diplomacy and influencing skills.
• Flexibility - willingness to travel to 60% of the time locally.
NB: The position will be based in Mpumalanga (home office based). Candidates must reside in Mpumalanga (preferably in Middleburg / Witbank area) or willingness to relocate to Mpumalanga.
Job Requirements:
• Assist with technical queries as an when they arise,
and to assist with product development and implementation of new applications.
• Assist sale teams in the identification of new product opportunities.
• Advise customers on the correct bearing selection / application of Client’s products from interpretation and implementation of customer specification / requirements.
• Maintain technical awareness of, and participation in the market place, through reading, visiting existing and prospective customers, attending seminars, trade fairs, training programmes, etc.
• Identify key market opportunities for Client products, and evaluate market potential.
• Maintains contact with existing customers to contribute to the maintenance and development of long term relationships.
• Provide service and sales support to customers to ensure that any issues are actioned effectively.
• Provides technical solutions to prevent and resolve application performance problems and thereby maximise operational uptime for strategic customers.
• Develops training programs and provides technical training services to internal and external customers to build knowledge on the application and maintenance of products.
• Maintains close links with all internal teams to ensure that any changes or issues are actioned effectively (including warranty and quality).
• Extend range of product or service relationships with major end-use customers to grow revenue.
• Develops plans and proposals to meet customer needs and achieve revenue objectives.
• Promotes and presents ideas and proposals to major end-user customers.
• Promotion of Client products aligned with the sales effort.
• Increased generation of sales through services provided and collaboration with sales team and other areas.
• Build and maintain communication and relationship with customers, gain full insight into key end-user accounts (install base, supply chain, competition, etc.), and present technical presentations and understand customer feedback.
