SERVICE TECHNICIAN – East Rand
Specialized Suppliers & Maintenance Services - providing company, looking for a Service Technician.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
• Provide support to regional customers by installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining x-ray and technology based security systems using built-in diagnostics and external test equipment.
• Perform and document preventative and remedial maintenance.
• Debug complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Perform pre-installation site surveys and site acceptance tests.
• Installation and commissioning of security systems.
• Provide on-site operator training.
• Implement field upgrades.
• Travel daily regionally and domestically.

Required Qualifications / Skills / Competencies:
• ND Electrical / Electronic (min N4 plus experience),
• Proficiency in MS Applications: Win XP, Win NT and MS Office,
• Knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies as well as wiring diagrams and schematics,
• Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry is required,
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, familiarity with test equipment (DVM) and experience with High Voltage.
• Must be capable of lifting up to 50 kilograms,
• Team player / ability to prioritize / work under pressure with minimal oversight,
• Excellent customer interface, presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written,
• Creative problem solver with strong detail orientation,
• Willingness to be on call and work non-standard hours,
• Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and independently,
• Ability to plan and execute effectively under strict time constraints.

Must have a South African passport.
Must be willing to travel into Africa for working purpose.
Must be in possession of a valid drivers license.

Salary
Basic (highly negotiable with experience) + medical aid, pension, cell allowance
