A prominent mine in the Rustenburg area is looking for an Engineer to join their team.

1. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (CV’s without copies of qualifications will not be considered)

• B Engineering / BSc Engineering Degree or National Diploma is essential
• Government Certificate of Competency Mines of works in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is  essential (2.13.1)

JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 Years recognised Junior Engineering Programme training is essential
• 2-4 Years operational work experience with Mining/Plant experience is essential

• 2-4 Years operational work experience preferably Hard Rock Mining

• Registration as a professional certificated engineer would be an advantage
• 2 - 3 Years Project Management experience would be an advantage.                                                                       
• Valid Medical Certificate or medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate

The successful candidate will be expected:

• To ensure zero harm to employees & the environment by meeting legal and SHEQ regulations /compliance
• To ensure that equipment is well maintained and efficiently managed, i.e. equipment availability is good to ensure production targets are met
• To ensure effective project delivery to enable future growth and reach production targets
• To implement effective financial management processes
• To ensure effective people management methodologies, inclusive of people development (subordinates vary between 200 - 400)
