Job Description
Maintenance of shafts, plants & all equipment set within parameters of the mine health & safety, maintenance plans and schedules.
Implementing and planning continuous improvement of reliability maintenance
Achieving best practiced work cultures in maintenance procedures and standards
Ensuring the company’s safety health and environmental standards are implemented and maintained.
Investigation of equipment failure and ensuring root analysis is done to improve reliability of the equipment
Planning and managing a 5-year business plan for the department
Preparing operational, capital budgets and managing the finances within the company’s required limit.
Responsible for the legal appointee for all relevant activities and machines
Oversee electrical, mechanical and instrument installations of the underground shafts.
Minimum Requirements
National Diploma / degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
Government Certificate of (Mines) Competency Electrical / Mechanical
5 Years + working experience within a mining shaft environment
Knowledge of (RCM), Conditional Monitoring and Root Analysis
Knowledge of Conveyors & Ventilation fans & all relevant equipment
