Main Purpose of the Job
To design, develop, implement and maintain the client’s SharePoint environment and associated technologies/applications, ensuring optimum efficiency and high availability to the client. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Main Responsibilities / Tasks
• To support the business requirements for the provision of SharePoint services.
• To liaise with IT infrastructure services, in support of applications maintenance and development activities.
• To co-ordinate and assist each line of business with opportunities for shared applications and common business efficiencies.
• To define, plan and manage releases of application updates.
• To support improvement initiatives involving SharePoint.
• To support the strategy for strategic, tactical and maintenance activities.
• To take responsibility for: time management; reporting and monitoring; risk management; issue management; quality assurance and change management.
• To act as technical expert for SharePoint in the environment, and share knowledge as appropriate.
• Be confident to facilitate Joint application design (JAD) sessions.
• To support other application team members as appropriate to the implementation of application related activities.
• To carry out other tasks as agreed with the Applications Manager.
• Maintain and Develop SharePoint Performance point for Dashboards
• Development and maintenance of web applications and Web Parts
• Maintain, Customize and Administer SharePoint Farms
• User Training post projects rollouts

Formal Qualifications Required Essential / Desirable
Grade 12 Essential
Microsoft Developer with MCSE- Desirable
ITIL- Desirable

Working experience of SharePoint development (2010 and up) - 1 – 2 years - Essential
Working experience of SQL server Integrated services - 1 – 2 years - Essential
Working experience of SQL Server Analysis Services - 1 - 2 years - Essential
Working experience of SQL Server Reporting Services - 1 – 2 years- Essential
Working experience of SQL Databases -1 – 2 years- Desirable
Working experience with C# and .NET technologies - 3 years- Desirable
Working experience of XMII (Bi Tool) - 1 – 2 years- Desirable

Job Related Knowledge Required
Good Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (maintain existing and develop new) - Essential
Good Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (maintain existing and develop new) - Essential
Good Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (maintain existing and develop new) - Essential
Good Knowledge of C# programming - Essential
Power BI Tool experience (i.e. QlikView) - Essential
JavaScript Knowledge will be beneficial - Desirable
