Job Description:

Implement Company OHSE Management systems.
Manage contractors by evaluating documentation and ensuring compliance during the construction stage.
Manage and implement the emergency and disaster plan with Protection Services department.
Manage injury on duty by reporting incident/s to Compensation Commissioner.
Perform site Inspections including developing and implementing corrective actions identified during inspections.
Ensure that Toolbox Talks are done my Construction Supervisors.
Train Occupational Health and Safety Representatives to ensure that have the necessary knowledge and resources to perform their function.
Perform Contractor Audits and ensure closing-out of any findings raised.
Facilitate Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Monthly Meetings.
Prepare Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Reports for Client monthly meetings.
Prepare Safety Files and amendments where required.
Facilitate Baseline Risk Assessments and task specific risk assessments with subject matter experts as required.
Perform other work-related tasks as required by the company.

Qualifications:

Relevant SAMTRAC or equivalent qualification
Fall Protection Plan Developer, Fall Arrest & Rescue, Scaffolding Inspector and Incident Investigation Training
Occupational Health and Safety Act and its Regulations
Construction Environmental Legislative requirements
Two (2) years’ relevant construction experience – Asphalt related experience will be an advantage
SACPCMP registration is a must.
Valid driver’s license.
