SHEET METAL Factory/ Workshop SUPERVISOR – West Rand, Jhb
Manufacturer of commercial appliances/ equipment – looking for a Shhetmetal Factory / Workshop Supervisor.

Objective:
To supervise the daily activities & staff.
Overseeing the manufacturing of sheet metal.
Quality checks of the produced sheet metal
Ensure that the sheet metal meets clients' specifications
Ability to read technical drawings.
Strongly familiar with the machinery used to produce sheet metal, and some routine maintenance and troubleshooting may be necessary.

Duties:
To Supervise a team of approx. 15 staff (Welders, CNC machine operators, grinders, labourers)
Supervise production
Knowledge of CNC - computerized bending / punching machines etc. (i.e. Amada punching & bending machines etc.)
Must be hands on and able to operate the machines himself

Planning of sheet metal functions that include punching, bending, welding and grinding
Ability to proactively identify problems and provide adequate solutions
Ensuring product manufactured is to quality specifications
Plan, coordinate and control resources
Oversee Health & Safety
Job planning and costing
To monitor equipment functioning properly

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:
Technical qualification in Mechanical/ Draughting
Qualified artisan (Red Seal certificate) – Advantage
Min 5 years’ experience in sheet metal as a leader / supervisor
CNC experience and knowledge - Fully program / install programs
Exposure and experience on punching and bending machines
Able to accurately interpret technical drawings.

Salary R25, 000 CTC per month (highly negotiable with the experience)
