• A Civil Engineering construction firm based in Limpopo is looking for a SHEQ Manager to be responsible for the SHEQ function of multiple sites
• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Recognised SHEQ related qualification / diploma
• Certified internal auditor - SANS ISO9001 / SANS 14001 and SANS OHSAS 18001
• Computer literate
• Comprehensive experience in the implementation of SHEQ systems. Experience in implementation, evaluation, monitoring and management of systems that are certified to SANS ISO 9001:2008, SANS ISO 14001:2004 and SANS OHSAS 18001:2011
• COMPETENCIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Main function: Managing and maintaining the integrated SHEQ management system requirements. The management and control of all SHEQ related aspects throughout the company and coordination and guidance on safety, health and environmental matters.
• Effective management of the integrated SHEQ management system to ensure proper control and co-ordination of the SHEQ functions within the company Effective management and control of Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) matters, Maintenance of all required Emergency Situations Promotion of SHEQ awareness Assist to maintain the Integrated SHEQ management system (SHEQ and company policies, procedures, records and standards) Coordinating and following up on the resolution of SHEQ problems and deviations Keeping management fully informed of SHEQ matters at all times Schedule regular H&S and environment meetings and reporting back on SHEQ requirements and concerns Proposing and ensuring implementation of SHEQ corrective and preventative action Handle and manage internal incidents and accidents by completing incident reports Investigation of accidents and incidents (injures and damages to company property and/or the environment) Compiling monthly SHEQ reports and providing feedback to senior management Compiling internal weekly HIRA formal reports Following up on all identified corrective and preventative actions to ensure appropriate actions are implemented to prevent recurrences (HIRA’s, internal Audits, and internal non-conformance) Liaising with customers, inspectors and suppliers on SHEQ related matte Responsible to ensure that all required PPE is adhered to and compliant with the applicable standards and OHS act Implementation of SANS ISO 14001:2004 (environment) and SANS OHSAS 18001:2011 (Health and Safety) to ensure Company is compliant for an integrated SHEQ management system Responsible for the arrangement for training and development of all employees responsible for SHEQ Liaison with legal consultants, sub-contractors, and relevant inspection authorities
• Represent the company during external SHEQ audit
• Adhere to any other Work related duties assigned by the COO
