Illovo Sugar South Africa is currently recruiting for a Shift Foreman to work in Durban.


Key Performance Areas:

Obtain mixing instructions for each shift
Ensure adequate stock for production
Provide details of all feed mixtures to operators
Ensure effective quality of final product
Maintain safety standards during production
Ensure a clean and tidy work environment
Prevent and reduce waste of products
Education:

Grade 12 as educational qualification with 2 years’ experience as a supervisor in an animal feed processing plant;
Any supervisory qualification on a NQF Level 4 will count in favour of the applicant;
Good knowledge of animal feed mixes, raw materials and mixing processes, relevant legislation and the operation of a weighbridge.
Knowledge of the functions and operation of pellet press, conveyors, bucket elevators and boilers will count in the applicant's favour.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Basic knowledge of customer service and functioning of a business and basic principles of good supervision and leadership practices;
Successful candidate must be willing to work under pressure, to work shifts and overtime or standby;
Person must be able to work well within a team, to handle conflict, solve problems and maintain good discipline;
Promptly, reliable, healthy social habits, outstanding work of reference and leadership skills.
