SHIFT LEADER

Manufacturing environment

Our client and an international leading in the Textile industry is looking for a Shift Leader.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Grade 12 with a technical background
• 5-8 years overall working experience essential of which 2-3 years in a similar position of people management
• Plastic or Nonwoven Manufacturing experience

• Trade tested Millwright / Fitting and Machining / Fitting (Bonus)
• Computer literate
• ERP experience (SAP will be a bonus)
• ISO 9001 system experience
• Willing to work shifts

• Reside in and around Atlantis or Cape Town area.
• Valid SA ID Book

Responsibilities (amongst others and not limited to):

• Responsible for correct identification, packing, record-keeping and purity of products
• Dispatch to the production warehouse
• Keeping records relating to the production of the respective shift and for the fulfilment of all requirements aimed at achieving maximum quality of the production
• Regular cleaning of the manufacturing equipment and the neighbouring manufacturing area based on the selected instructions and orders issued by the Shift Leader, Production Manager
• Ensure production teams understand the production plan and expectations.
• Lead a team
• Practise and apply practical Health and Safety practices
• In conjunction with Maintenance plan routine maintenance jobs, unscheduled breakdowns
