We’re hiring! We’re urgently looking for Supervisors for a manufacturing site (Boksburg)
This Equity role is for a Supervisor with N6/ Fitter & Turner (Red Seal) and CNC experience

ROLE: Supervisor – heavy engineering manufacturing
Equity: EMPLOYMENT EQUITY
LOCATION: Manufacturing Plant- Boksburg
SALARY: R320 000 – R420 000 CTC Negotiable depending on current & education
Deadline Monday 4th September

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum of N6 /or a Technical Diploma
• Red Seal Qualified Fitter and Turner – advantageous
• CAD/ CAM – imperative
• 5 years experience - CNC Operator or Setter Operator experience
• A good knowledge of CNC machining methods and ability to produce precision components
• Have experience of a machining manufacturing environment.
• Be able to interpret and read technical drawings
• Computer skills
• English Language Proficiency
• Have an aptitude for Mechanical Engineering

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Implementation of production plan by allocating staff according to the schedule, providing materials and documentation in order to meet manufacturing targets. You would be responsible for creating priorities, changing schedules where needed, troubleshoot, measure progress and report to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that scheduled production targets are communicated and achieved-arrangement of shifts/overtime.
• Ensure that the targets are in line with the overall strategy of the company
• Make sure that there is enough stock and documentation such as drawings are available for the staff to achieve desired targets.
• Responsible for safe starting, running and stopping of CNC machines.
• Comply with all SHE requirements and adhere to proper housekeeping standards.
• Identify and communicate all risks in the responsible area timeously.
• Create daily task plans for the shifts. Ensure these are done prior to the start of shifts and communicated accordingly..
• Create optimum efficiency by scheduling employees and closing any possible resource gaps that may exist.
• In the event of breakages and material shortages identify staff that are not required before the start of shifts.
• Be an active participant in safety talks, mini business and small group activities and Level 2 meetings.
• Be involved in the training of new staff members, contracting of workers to achieve a common goal.
• Be part of the implementation of the key lean manufacturing principles.
• Troubleshoot and set CNC machining processes according to product specification.
• Create a happy disciplined team.
