We are currently looking for a Shift Supervisor for one of our well established clients in the freight & logistics industry.

Requirements:

3- 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations

Matric
Diploma advantageous

Knowledge of warehouse management and transportation

Strong, planning and organisational skills.

Identify problems, analyze trends and implement corrective and preventative actions.
Experience in warehousing management systems.

Excellent communicator skills (written & verbal).


Responsibilities:

Ensure that all warehouse clients are up to date on production sequence picking.

Coordinate the movement and storage of stock in the warehouse.

Manage Inventory and warehouse operations

Coordinate and organise the retrieval, filling of shipments, dispatch and delivery of goods whilst ensuring complete and accurate supporting documentation are in place and filed in order to ensure a high level of service delivery to clients.

Recommend and as appropriate implement measures including the use of lean operational practices to improve the quality of service, increasing efficiency of the warehouse, work crew and equipment performance.

Maintain a healthy, safe, clean and secure work environment, identify any potential risks and implement precautionary measures to protect employees.

Measurement and reporting of the effectiveness of warehouse activities by developing and maintaining work instructions for all tasks including the dispatch, collection & safe delivery of goods.

Lead work teams to achieve performance goals

Ensure compliance of all relevant legislative requirements and that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with company specific regulations.
Ensure stock accuracy for all warehouse clients.
