My client, a reputable industry leader in the supply chain trade has an exciting opportunity for a Shift Supervisor to join their team

The main purpose of this position:
The Shift Supervisor should at any time ensure that his/her team is carrying out their tasks safely and the operation is going according to the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and the SHEQ-Plan. He/She is responsible for the supervision of all sub-ordinates in accordance with their individual job descriptions.

Key Performance Areas:

The duties will include but will not be limited to:

• The Shift Supervisor is accountable to the Senior Shift Supervisor for the effective execution of his duties and responsibilities
• Overseeing of the main operational function
• Ensure that operation procedures is adhered to
• Report any irregularities or deviations concerning the operation or safety on the apron, the haul road, and stock pile area immediately.
• Ensure the total safety of the day to day operations
• Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites. This includes a full site inspection, to ascertain operational
readiness.
• Giving clear guidance to his team and ensure that all tasks are completed according to the scheduled time and shift rosters.
• Ensure proper communication between himself and his team and between the team members themselves.
• Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported accurately and in time to the relevant parties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to read and write clearly
• 3-5 years working experience in Operations

• Ability to interact with Senior Management.
